For anyone with little or no medical training who needs a First Aid CPR AED course completion card for their job, regulatory or other requirements; or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

The participants who complete this training program will be certified by the American Heart Association as a First Aid & CPR/AED Provider. You will learn to perform CPR and use an AED for adults and relief of choking, with optional modules for children and infants. You will also learn to manage illness and injury until professional help arrives. Includes general principles, medical emergencies, injury management, and environmental emergencies. American Heart Association certification eCard provided.

1. Live, In-Person Classes are 100% with an Instructor. Classes include DVD presentation, lecture, discussion, practical application and skills testing.

Class Materials: AHA requires that each student have either the current digital or printed textbook at an in-person class.

2. Blended Learning is 50% Self-Paced Online & 50% In-Person Skills Session with an Instructor. In-Person Skills Sessions include discussion, practical application and skills testing.

Blended Learning Materials: AHA requires that each student completes the AHA online course prior to this Skills Session (available to purchase when registering).

3. Virtual Learning is 50% Self-Paced Online & 50% Virtual Skills Session with an Instructor. Virtual Skills Sessions include discussion, practical application and skills testing.

Virtual Learning Materials: AHA requires that each student completes the AHA online course prior to this Skills Session (available to purchase when registering). You also must purchase the required manikins, which will be shipped to you prior to the Virtual Skills Session.

The AHA’s Family & Friends® CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and choking relief for adults, children, and infants.  Family & Friends® CPR is for community members, family members or friends who wishes to learn lifesaving CPR skills but do not require certification.
